A Reason To Visit: Acalanes High School Yearbooks (Aklans)

Collection of Aklan yearbooks

The Lafayette Historical society has a near complete collection of Acalanes High School yearbooks. Even if you didn’t attend Acalanes High School, and are not looking for embarrassing old photos of you or your friends, you might still find them interesting. Did you know that SNL Alum Will Forte went to Acalanes? And that his name at graduation was Oville Willis Forte?

How about a member of the European parliament.

I know, how did that happen? He was an exchange student in his senior year, meaning he graduated from Acalanes, even though he was from Europe.

There’s always something interesting to find in the old yearbooks. Feel free to stop by and take a look.

Our high school classmate, Lynda Holmes, lost everything in the Santa Rosa fire last year. Is it possible that you have an extra copy of her graduation yearbook (1968)? She was at Acalanes for 4 years and any duplicate yearbook might be nice.

    Thank you for your efforts.

I have copies of the Acalanes High School 1953, 1955 and 1956 Years books which belonged to my sister-in-law, Joann Alexander. She has passed away and has no children to whom to pass them along. Is the Lafayette Historical Society interested in them? Otherwise, I will have to throw them away.

Hello! I am not certain if you have staff working during this time of Covid-19. However,
this is very exciting to find this amazing resource. My father graduated from Acalanes High School in 1952. He lost his yearbooks to a house fire in 2008 and he has been longing for them ~ he is extremely sentimental! Is there any chance you would have any extra copies of 1949-1952 yearbooks? I look forward to your response!

Hello, do you have a 2004 year book I could get a picture of someone from for their birthday?
