In the 1978 Compañero…
we do not find an entry for the 1977-1978 Campolindo Electronics Club.
While we don’t find an entry in the yearbook, we do find the Campolindo Electronics Club in the Winter 1977-1978 amateur radio call book.
The entry states the following:
Elect Club of Campolindo, 300 Moraga Rd, Moraga 94556
While a formal entry for the electronics club doesn’t exist, Carl Shanahorn is listed as doing TV and Electronics.
That’s all the information on this part that we have at the moment. As with all these posts, please feel free to share any information you might have.

I don’t remember if Campolindo had an electronics club but I remember Carl Shanahorn.
He was a great guy and taught Electronics and TV Production.
Later on, Carl left teaching and went to work for Bechtel Corporation, working on construction
projects in foreign locations that included Australia and Africa.

Thanks, Dan!

I forgot to ask, but you said the he taught TV Production. Do you know if they were still broadcasting?
Dan says
They had a weekly half-hour program called “Campolindo 30” that
was aired over the local cable access channel, Channel 6.
The shows were in black and white using Sony 1/2” reel to reel cameras.

Acalanes had a show like this that broadcasted from the same studio. Their show only lasted a couple of years, but the yearbooks mention that they brought recordings of it to the library for students who may have missed the broadcasts. Wonder if there are any recordings of the either of the schools shows out there floating around?
Thanks for the info!
Dan says
I have a very poor quality copy of a program I did
somewhere in my garage.
Lafayette History Rabbit Holes says
Any chance that’s something that could be dug out of the garage? It would be great if it could be digitized!
Dan says
I’ll let you know if I come across it.

Thanks!
