In the 1969 Troiana…
we find an entry for the 1968-1969 Radio Broadcasting Club.
The students are listed as follows:

Forrest Patton
We are reaching a turning point for radio in the Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD).
All the other groups we have seen up to this point have either had “electronics”, “amateur radio”, or just “radio” in their names. This is the first time we’ve seen the word “broadcasting” in the name of one of the clubs. Unless something unexpected shows up, we won’t see that term again until the Miramonte Broadcasting Club shows up in the 1980s to help run KCEQ.
This is the beginning of what we’ve dubbed the Del Valle Divergence. There will be a second explosion of amateur radio in the next few years as Acalanes, Campolindo, and Del Valle all get their own amateur radio stations. However, with Clayton Valley High School’s station obtaining their FCC license to operate an FM station (KVHS) in 1969, the students at Del Valle are going to start to shift their focus to try and duplicate Clayton Valley’s success.
That’s all the information on this part that we have at the moment. As with all these posts, please feel free to share any information you might have.
