In the 1975 Del Valle yearbook…

we find the 1974-1975 FM Club.

The F.M. Club is composed of students who are interested in electronics and/or radio broadcasting. They are building their own station in a part of the electronics lab and are planning to get a license from the F.C.C. The club also provides an insight to the aspects of a career in this field.

The officers are listed as follows:

President: Jim Peterson
Vice President: David Packer
Treasurer: James M. Fitzgerald (Jim)

Other members are listed as follows:

David Haydon
Carlos Lorenzo
Dan Violin
Chris Fernandez
Bill Schlafhe

This year the FM Club designed an a float for Homecoming.

We find the Del Valle amateur radio station in the Winter 1974-1975 amateur radio call book.

Entry for the 1974-1975 Del Valle Amateur Radio Club in the Winter 1974-1975 amateur radio call book

The entry states the following:

B Del Valle ARC, 1963 Tice Val Blvd, Walnut Creek 94595

The “B” indicates a club license.

That’s all the information on this part that we have at the moment. As with all these posts, please feel free to share any information you might have.
