In the 1959 Mirada…

we find that there was an Electronics Club during the 1958-1959 school year.

The Electronics Club set up a school amateur radio station, K6KGD. They also set up a booth at the school carnival on the defiance of the law of gravity. They provided all the sound equipment of the carnival. the club has repaired and readied sound equipment for rental and use by out-of-school groups. They are also in the process of building VHF (very high frequency) transmitters and receivers for club use. For anyone who is interested in working with electronics, the Electronics Club offers unlimited possibilities.

The members are listed as follows:

Ronnie Park
Marty Meager
Richard Harrington
Terry Scheffer
Richard Williams
Gary Henderson

Faculty Advisor was Mr. Davis.

If we look at the amateur radio Summer 1958 (text and full call book) and Spring 1959 (text and full call book), then we find a listing for the Miramonte Electronics Club that corresponds to the entry in the yearbook.
