Steve Hobbs, local photographer, is now creating a new pictorial history of Lafayette

Please join the us when we welcome Steve Hobbs on November 22nd at 1:30 in the Lafayette Library & Learning Center’s Community Hall. Steve says “everything I learned about photography was from a white pelican.”

Steve Hobbs

Steve Hobbs grew up in Lafayette. After graduating from Williams College and teaching at the Choate School, Steve returned to the Bay Area where he received a doctorate in psychology. Twenty years ago he began taking photographs of the breathtaking sunsets over San Francisco Bay from his deck in Kensington, and his career as a photographer was launched.

Steve’s presentation will combine photographs from the archives of the Lafayette Historical Society’s extensive collection with his own current photographs of the area.

Please join us at 1:30 to have an opportunity to visit with Steve and perhaps purchase a signed copy of his beautiful “The Lafayette Reservoir – A Visual Celebration”. His presentation will begin at 2:00!

(Your donation supports the work of the Lafayette Historical Society as well as the ability to offer knowledgeable presenters who speak on local history.)
