Before Lafayette and Moraga had the trails we know today, electric trains carried passengers, students, farm produce and freight through our hills.
Join the Lafayette Historical Society on Wednesday, November 4, for an evening exploring that fascinating history — and the transformation from railroad to regional trail.
Sam Sperry will take us back to the 44 years of electric train service, from 1913 to 1957. Shane Reisman will follow with a look at the new nine-stop Lafayette-Moraga History Trail and the stories it will share along the trail.
